 To lead a successful life it’s important to have an aim in life. Knowing where you are headed and what you would like to achieve will help you go after your goals and achieve them.

A man without an aim in life is like the tree, it can be swayed anywhere depending on where the wind is blowing.

Different people have different aims in life. Some aim to live glamorous flashy lives while others opt for a quite life. Many parents have big ambitions for their children and want their children to get the best education and work in large organization but not everyone will achieve this.

Not everyone will get what their parents term as a good career. In addition, not everyone is clever enough to be a doctor, engineer etc. My aim in life is to not only be the best that I can be but to influence people’s lives as I do so. I hold a degree in information Technology and my aim is to use my skills and experience to make the world a better place.

Many people look for the best paying jobs to help sustain their flashy lives but my aim is to use the knowledge I have learnt to help solve problems and make someone else’s life better. The reason why I chose my field is because of lack of technology in my village. I wanted to gain skills on how I can enhance the life of my fellow village mates by using technology.

By observing how they had to travel for long distances to get access to the various technology services I decided that I should be the one to bring change and make life easier and better for them. After finishing my degree, I worked for some years to gain the relevant experience and much needed skills.

I thereafter headed to my village and with the local youth brainstormed on how to use technology to help our people. People no longer have to walk or miles to get simple services such as printing or surfing the internet since the services are now readily available to them.

That said I aim to even make life better for others who would greatly benefit from my skills and experience.

I belong to the lower middle class of society. Naturally, I have to face several difficulties in my life. The difficulties encountered during the journey of my life made me realise that lack of education is the biggest problem to which I will devote my life to spread literacy to every nook and corner of society so as to remove the darkness of illiteracy. It is a shame that one-fourth of our population still do not know how to read and write even after over six decades of independence. In terms of women education, the picture is all the more gloomy. Unless we are educated we cannot make all around progress.

I would be particularly sensitive to the needs of the weaker sections of society. I would work hard to bring change in their lives. When this section of society is educated, we will have a totally different society. There will be no superstitions when they will be educated. I will always be available to attend their queries whatever arise. I will arrange extra classes for those who find it difficult to keep pace with the regular class.

I am fully aware that I’ll have to face lots of hardships. A teacher’s life is hard. He does not command the respect he deserves. This profession is looked down upon as of a lowly status. A teacher’s life is full of drudgery. I will not be concerned for the earnings. I will try my best to make the students good citizens. I will help them in broadening their outlook. I’ll groom their personality and shape their characters. I’ll try to inculcate in them good moral values. So that India have good citizens to take it on the path of progress and prosperity in which everyone has a dignified life full of equality of opportunities. According to great educationist and our former president Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, “Teachers are the custodians of the highest values.”

For becoming a successful man, one should have a certain aim in one's life. A man without aim is like a rudderless ship in a stormy sea. The aim of an individual should be noble and good to shape his career in the later part of life. Without a right or aim right choice of profession the problem of bread cannot be solved. In addition to this the purpose of birth will be defeated bringing penitence unto him.

As an individual, I have certain needs to fulfill but simultaneously I have an aim to serve my countrymen. The best service I can render to my countrymen is by becoming a doctor of good repute.

Undoubtedly it is a humanitarian profession. In Hindu philosophy a doctor is adjudged as second god. I have a great aptitude for the study of medicine. The study of medical science is for the benefaction of mankind. By studying the art of healing I can cure diseases and fight against death.

In my view it is nobler than any other profession. In my country there are limited opportunities for the study of medicine. Its opportunities should be enlarged for the better service of the human race.

The number of doctor is limited keeping in view the population of our vast country. The state helps for the extension of hospitals. There is a great want in the field of well-equipped laboratories. Laboratories are of immense necessity for research works for different systems of treatment.

Many new diseases are spreading in India an account of the lack of research work. There are malaria, TB diseases, cancer, brain fever, asthma and blood pressure. The number hospital should be increased for facilitating the cure of such diseases.

India is a land of villages. There is lack of trained doctors in village areas. I shall try to be a good doctor. I have a great weakness for rendering, services to the members of the society such as nursing the sick. I shall

Try to spread education among the illiterate ones for sanitation and keep the people aware of the environmental pollution. I have a weakness for technical education. I have been well trained in practical art and science.

I have a good scientific basis. I shall try to produce the best of medicines with the least expense and shall try for their serving at the cheapest rate.

As a doctor, I shall serve the people sincerely without being a money-monger. I want to be a doctor like Dr. Bidhan Chandra. I shall work for the development of health care of the village people of my country. I shall try for the betterment of people.

I shall stick to the profession with tenacity without wavering. I shall not lose my heart if I cannot progress at the start. I shall have faith in myself and I shall apply myself to the task. My honest efforts must reward me with success.

Now I am preparing for the medical entrance test. I come of a well to do family and I feel, I must do the right thing in the right moment. If at all I am given an opportunity to study medicine I shall spend the life in the realisation of the lofty ideals.
